Stackpark is live — the link is the build
Playpit’s third original game is out: Stackpark, a third-person build sandbox on a sunny island, free in your browser.
The loop
You’re a little avatar with a bottomless box of oversized toy parts:
- Pick a part — cubes, bricks, plates, walls, pillars, ramps, orbs.
- Aim and click — a ghost shows exactly where it lands; everything snaps to a friendly grid, and near-centre aims stack into clean columns.
- Paint it — twelve bright colours, one key to repaint anything you’re looking at.
- Walk around it — run, jump, orbit the camera, keep stacking.
Whatever you raise saves in your browser, per island. A few round parkgoers potter about. That’s the whole game, and that’s the point.
The build card
Press P and Stackpark frames your creation as a build card — with a rebuild link baked in. Here’s the trick: the island regenerates from its seed, and every part you placed snaps to a grid, so the whole creation compresses into the link itself. The link is the build. No server, no account, no upload — a friend who opens it stands in front of your exact creation, part for part, colour for colour.
And because their copy is a real, editable world, they can remix it — add a wing, repaint the roof, knock it down — and send their own build card back.
Built kid-safe
Same posture as everything on Playpit: no chat, no accounts, no purchases. Builds save in your own browser and travel only as links you choose to share. It’s our privacy policy in game form.
Under the hood
Stackpark is the first game on our new 3-D world engine — streamed heightmap terrain, a third-person follow camera, a skeletal-animated avatar, and a shared “mesh world” of placed parts. Every placement already flows through the same network seam our multiplayer work will use, which is a quiet promise about where Stackpark is headed: those islands won’t stay single-player forever.
